THE ASK
At its facility in St. Paul, Minnesota, the CPR needed to provide some sort of shelter from the elements for its technicians as they worked to change out the wheel assemblies on the company’s rail cars. The structure had to be placed over an existing working pit amid train tracks and other area structures.
HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED
Sprung provided a cost-effective, open-ended structure that was erected using anchors to negate the need for foundations or footings. The innovative structure included a custom vestibule to enclose a large electrical panel, a side sliding cargo door for pit area access, and six-foot leg extensions to bring the structure up to the height requirements of the numerous rail car dimensions.
