THE ASK
Hills Air Force Base needed to provide a covered area for inspecting large commercial trucks entering the base at its Roy Gate. Years earlier, the base had purchased a membrane structure from a different company to serve that function, but the quality of that structure was sub-standard and eventually deteriorated to the point that it needed to be torn down. After a long period of not having anything to cover the inspection area, officials at Hill Air Force Base realized they needed to give a membrane structure another chance.
