THE ASK
In 2014, as Enoch Cree Nation was preparing for its annual powwow that July, leaders decided that a new structure was needed in order to comfortably host the approximately 1,800 people who would attend. Remembering Sprung’s long-term quality and service from a project completed in the early 1990s, they reached out to Sprung for a customized solution.
HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED
Sprung supplied a round structure, 150 feet in diameter, with a 9000 CFM ventilation unit in its peak to dissipate heat, and a cost-effective earth-anchoring system. Designed to resemble a tepee, the structure also features the tribe’s colors, white and blue, on its exterior membrane.
This Sprung solution provided the Enoch Cree Nation with a unique powwow experience, as attendees were able to celebrate on grass, one with the Earth, while remaining protected from the elements.
