THE ASK
The zoo was spending a significant amount of money on rented event tents and realized that the upgraded aesthetics of a Sprung structure provided significantly more value.
HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED
The zoo entered into a five-year lease with Sprung, with an option to purchase. The ZPA hospitality building, which is the first of two Sprung structures at the San Diego Zoo, is 60’ x 90’ and is used for events, weddings and fundraisers. The second structure, measuring 50 feet in diameter, is a fully insulated 4D interactive Iwerks theater that offers an immersive experience with vibrating seats, bubbles, water spray, surround sound and more.
This is a big money-maker for the zoo.
