THE ASK
The Tachi Palace Casino Resort, which is owned and operated by the Tachi Yokut, needed a powwow structure that would also serve as the casino’s entertainment venue.
HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED
Sprung delivered a 45,000-square-foot outdoor entertainment canopy that now sits just north of the casino. Featuring three oversized exhaust fans for cooling, the structure is over 300 feet long and 150 feet wide and has a daylight panel in its peak to allow for a true, open-air feel.
Today, this massive powwow structure, whose design elements nod to the traditional First Nations longhouse, remains the largest of its kind in the world.
