THE ASK
The Naval Academy needed a large, insulated structure to function as a temporary food storage facility while renovating its King Hall Galley, a dining hall that feeds 4,500 midshipmen per day.
HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED
Sprung delivered a fully insulated structure that included ample dry, cold, freezer and preparation space to hold five to seven days’ worth of food. A cover spanning the access road was included to provide weather protection for food deliveries. And on the opposite wall, a custom opening allowed for a seamless transition into kitchen trailers. The food storage facility helped to serve around 14,000 meals per day during the 18-month renovation of King Hall.
