THE ASK

In 1994, Sprung built a 32,000-square-foot production and distribution center in West Jordan, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City. This facility has served as a crucial base for the design, manufacture, and delivery of Sprung’s high-performing structures ever since.

Recently, with the demand for cost-effective, rapid-build solutions increasingly on the rise, the Sprung team decided it was time to refresh, expand, and optimize its Utah facility—not only to better respond to the growing need for fast and affordable space, but also to showcase the latest advancements in the company’s products.

In essence, the aim of the project was to create a larger, more modern facility that could handle increased production demands while also demonstrating to prospective customers, first-hand, the cutting-edge technology and innovative finishing details that go into a Sprung structure.

HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED

Situated on seven acres of land, Sprung’s expanded factory and distribution center is now 41,000 square feet—22 percent larger than before. The enhanced, fully insulated facility integrates a variety of Sprung’s latest and most impressive design details, including vibrant exterior colors, extra-tall peak heights, daylight panels, and glazing walls for ample natural light, high-quality acoustics, and a spacious, welcoming atmosphere.

Not only has this multi-million investment allowed Sprung to optimize office and factory space for an ideal work environment, it has also helped to improve workflow and increase production, thanks to the addition of state-of-the-art equipment that includes robotics and a specialized numerical control (CNC) machine capable of creating customized 50-foot-long aluminum beams.

Now capable of housing two million square feet of inventory, Sprung’s refreshed Utah facility can be further expanded in the future thanks to its modular, easily modifiable design.
