THE ASK
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, required a new, non-permanent “general instruction building” to serve as a vital swing space during renovations to several of West Point’s antiquated facilities, some of which are more than a century old.
HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED
Sprung designed and delivered a fully insulated, 100’ x 120’ structure to provide critical swing space to various USMA departments as they move to facilitate renovations during the academy’s 17-year building upgrade program.
Known as the Patton Swing Facility, this bright and airy structure offers approximately 15,000 square feet of administrative and collaborative academic space. The interior build-out includes a 3,800-square-foot mezzanine, as well as academic workstations, administrative offices, conference rooms and support areas.
