THE ASK
When stakeholders at 49° North Mountain Resort decided they needed a new building to serve as an on-site pro shop and rental shop, they opted to purchase two already-built Sprung structures from Tamarack Ski Resort in Idaho and reconfigure them to fit their own specific needs. Because Sprung structures are designed to be modular and relocatable, it made sense to the 49° North Mountain Resort team to take this cost-effective, environmentally responsible approach.
HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED
Using parts from both of the structures it purchased from Tamarack Ski Resort, the 49° North Mountain Resort created a customized, 60’ wide x 117’ long building to serve as both a pro shop and rental facility. Built on a raised rock foundation near an existing chalet at the resort’s entrance, the fully insulated structure features daylight panels and an attractive mountain-themed design on its exterior.
The team at 49° North Mountain Resort plan to erect a second Sprung structure (using the remaining elements of the structures it acquired from Tamarack) at a different location on the hill in the future.
