THE ASK
In the early 2000s, extensive efforts were made to return Harding Park to its former glory, as budgetary cuts in the late 1900s had caused the course to deteriorate significantly. As restoration efforts continued, it was determined that the course required a storage facility to house its golf and beverage carts.
HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED
Sprung provided Harding Park with a 40’ x 120’ structure large enough to house the course’s 87 golf carts and two beverage carts. The “cart barn’s” clear-span design offers a great deal of flexibility, allowing course officials to use the space in other ways, too. For instance, the structure served as a welcoming center when Harding Park hosted the American Express Championship in 2005, and again in 2009 for the President’s Cup.
