THE ASK
Collingwood’s municipal outdoor swimming pool was installed in 1967. In 2013, the community decided to enclose the pool to extend its use to year-round. They turned to Sprung for a fast, reliable and innovative solution.
HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED
Collingwood’s outdoor pool was enclosed with a new, high-tech Sprung structure, which is now known as the Centennial Aquatic Centre. Constructed in just six months, the Centennial Aquatic Centre encompasses an upgraded six-lane pool, as well as an accessible warm-water pool with ramp access, a multi-purpose room, and spectator seating for 250 people. The structure’s specially designed insulation system performs extremely well in high humidity environments, and its translucent daylight panels and sunshine doors add plenty of natural daylight to the enclosure to enhance the swimming experience.
