THE ASK
While Collingwood College has a proud sporting pedigree, it had gone without a sports hall for almost 30 years. The school turned to Sprung for a solution.
HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED
Construction of the new sports hall started in September 2008 and was completed on time and on budget on March 17, 2009. Fully compliant with the strictest UK building codes, this Sprung structure is 24.4 metres x 46.6 metres, with almost 1,080 square metres of usable space. The facility includes a full-sized basketball court, changing rooms, toilets and showers, extensive storage, a mezzanine level for gym equipment, and a dance studio. It also now serves as the home-training venue for the Guilford Heat, one of the top professional basketball teams in the UK.
