THE ASK

Due to its high elevation, Denver International Airport often receives an abundance of snow that has to be removed by its maintenance crew. To house its newly purchased fleet of snow-removal vehicles, the airport needed durable shelters that could withstand high winds and heavy snowfall.

HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED

Within six months, Sprung erected five fully insulated structures to house the airport’s 40 custom-made snowremoval vehicles. The relocatable buildings feature a clearspan design and skylights, as well as custom overhead door systems that are paired with remote controls in each vehicle, offering quick and efficient snow removal. The structures also feature engineered flat ends, which were custom designed and manufactured to accommodate the airport’s sloped asphalt and concrete taxiway.
